English Chartered Trading Companies, 1688-1763

This book provides a collective view of the five major English chartered trading companies active during 1688-1763. Using archival and secondary sources, it fills in some of the knowledge gaps concerning the less well-studied companies, and examines interconnections between international rivalry, financial operations of the companies, and politics.
